Currently Reading: Opal

Currently reading… Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout! I already did a review on Obsidian the first book in the Lux series, so if you want to check that out just look in our older posts! I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to post yesterday. Unfortunately, my grandma has passed away.
So far I am loving Opal! It is so packed with action and romance! I love that Katy is a book blogger and that make’s it so relatable(obviously)!
Let me just say one thing, I HATE BLAKE, or Bart as Daemon calls him! I love Daemon so much! He is so sassy and sarcastic! I wish there was more with Dee in the book. I loved her so much in the first book. She was so kind and I related to her a lot.
I also loved learning about Onyx and I can’t wait to learn about Opal!
So far I give Opal 4.5 out of 5 stars! I am loving the lux series! Also I will soon be doing reviews on The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer!
I love you guys so much!

Beginning Readers Recommendation!

WAAAAAT? A recommendation for new readers?! Well that’s new; told ya it would be something new!
Ok so this post will be a recommendation for people who want to be apart of the book world. I could only assume that some people come to our (It’s Maeves too for those who don’t know) blog to get advice on what they should read to become readers!
Lucky for you, I will guide your experience into the book, fangirling world.
So if you are a mundane that wants to become a shadowhunter (wink, wink) then you have got to read The Hunger Games and Divergent first (in that order).
They have got the perfect amount of action, romance, humor (sort of) and two amazing heroines.
If you want more information on these books, please leave a comment below and I will do a review on them (if you haven’t already read these books).
Now I have a warning and a “guide” to tell you. The warning is that once you have joined us in the fangirling world, you have to deal with something called The Feels. The Feels are when you have so many emotions or you are too happy, sad or mad to explain and you just shout out, “THE FEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Now that we have that settled, let’s get on with the “guide”.
When you read your first fandom book, you will want to read everything that author. I advise you to read The Hunger Games, then read Divergent.
ANNOUNCEMENT: If you want me or Maeve to review a certain book, please leave a comment below asking us and we will read it and/or start doing a review on it.
Sorry this post was so silly (tho I hoped you enjoyed it)!
I love you all so much! Thanks and bye!

Currently Reading... The Elite!

So today’s upload will be a Currently Reading! I am currently reading The Elite by Kiera Cass.
I just started reading last night, so I am not that far into it yet.
That doesn’t mean I’m not loving it! I love the chemistry between Maxon and America; they are so adorable and they love each other so much, they make me so happy when they are just hanging with each other or when Maxton does something incredible for America or when they just straight up kiss ;).
And can I just say that these books have gorgeous covers? I mean LOOK AT THEM!! THEY ARE SO PERFECT. But this series is not my favorite, that place is still taken by the Lux books.
So far I would give this series a 4.5 out of 5 stars. This series is just so entertaining and fun and romantic and I just really like it a lot.
If you haven’t read this series yet (which I would be surprised if you hadn’t because it’s EVERYWHERE!), then please go pick it up because it’s so easy to just read through and it’s so entertaining and fantastic.
I love you all soo much! Thanks and bye!!

Anna and the French Kiss Review

This review is going to be on Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.
This book is about a girl named Anna and her father send her to a boarding school in Paris. Let’s just say she isn’t happy about that… at all.
But once she meets Etienne St. Clair her life (and heart) is moving towards a brand new direction.
Throughout the book the biggest question is “Does he like her????” And boy, is he bi-polar. One day he is smiling and calling her beautiful, the next, he is ignoring her and doesn’t even sneak one look at her.
Overall I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5 stars! The only problem with this book is that, Etienne is so bi-polar, you get to that point where you are all like “What are ya doin? Just kiss her already!!!!” I had those moments a lot.
This book has just the right amount of swoon, heartbreak, heart aches (in a good way) and kisses (fangirls)! AMAZING job, Stephanie!!!!
ANNOUNCEMENT: I know that I posted twice today, only because Maeve was busy with something, so I had to fill in. Another little thing is, I am proud to say that I finished this book in a day. Literally I just sat on my couch for the duration of the day so that I could upload for you guys! And thank you for all the page views, it does wonders and I am so happy I have you all! You all are so freaking fantastic!
I love you all so, so much! Thanks and bye!

The Selection Review

This review will be on The Selection by Kiera Cass.
I will be reviewing this whole series, so stay tuned!
Okay so this book is about this girl named America Singer and she gets chosen for the Selection. That means she competes with other women to win the swoon-worthy Prince Maxton’s hand in marriage. For her, it’s her worst nightmare.
But throughout the time of the Selection, she starts to rethink things and wonder about the future she has never imagined before. Is there a chance to be with Maxton? What about Aspen? What will life be like in the castle? etc etc...
Overall I would give The Selection a 4.5 out of 5 stars; my only problem with this book is that America is so, so stubborn and it got to that part when she is just sticking with her stubbornness too long and it gets sort of annoying.
I loved this story and her development as a character she was so headstrong and just was being herself and I love that about America. I just can not wait to start The Elite and finish this series. It is such an easy read and so entertaining. FANTASTIC job, Kiera!
I love you all so much! Thanks and bye!

Paper Towns Review

This review will be on Paper Towns by John Green.
So this book is about this guy named Quintin and he is kind of a goodie goodie. But he is also horribly in love with Margo Roth Spiegelman. A very adventurous bad girl. But when she goes missing, Quentin is on the search for her and is also starting to question who he fell in love with in the first place.
So the big question in this is “Who is the Margo, Quintin REALLY knew?”
Overall I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars!
I loved this story and the plot line, it was so entertaining and I really loved it. Girls and guys will love it too, and that’s also one of the things I loved about this book.
If you read The Fault in Our Stars then I think you would really love this book because it’s so different from it, but in some ways, is the same.
Sorry this was so short! When I wrote this, I just woke up, so...sorry!
ANNOUNCEMENT: We (Maeve and I) will be posting twice a day now because we don’t want to overload you with posts, so Maeve will be posting in the morning and I will be posting at night.
I love you all so much! Thanks and bye!

Delirium review

Today’s review will be on Delirium by Lauren Oliver! These reviews are spoiler free!
Delirium is about a girl named Lena and in her world love is a disease! When you’re eighteen  you have to go and have a procedure which makes you immune to love.
Lena is one of those good obedient citizens and has looked forward to her cure. She doesn’t want to be destroyed by love like her mother was. Until she goes on a run with her best friend Hana. Hana is very rebellious and daring. Hana drags Lena past the fence which leads to the lab where the procedure takes place.
There they meet Alex. He is a guard for the lab. Him and Lena spend a lot of time together and Lena does the unthinkable… she falls in love.
Overall I give this book 4 out of 5 stars! I loved Delirium and I can’t wait to read more of Lauren Oliver’s books. Sorry this is so short!

Vampire Academy Review

This review will be on the first book to the Vampire Academy series (Vampire Academy LOL)!
So this book is about Rose Hathaway, a vampire “runaway” with her best friend Lissa Dragomir. She is a Dhampir, a guardian to protect Lissa, a Moroi Princess, from the evil Strigoi vampires. Then she gets caught by the amazingly gorgeous Dimitri Belikov that works for the Vampire Academy, the place where they are in danger the most.
Okay, sorry this was so short, it’s just that this is a really hard book to explain!
Overall, I would rate this a 5 out of 5 stars!
This is such a great book with amazing characters and humor and action and romance, I can not say how much I love this book and I can’t wait to start the third one! I need it so badly!! UGHHH! But I recommend this to fantasy lovers, this is not at all like the Twilight books or movies, the name may be cheesy, but the book makes up for it.

I love you all so much! Thanks and bye!!

Obsidian Review

Today’s review will be on Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout! This review will be spoiler free. Obsidian is about a girl named Katy who moves to a small town in West Virginia. Little does she know she lives next to a family of aliens! In that house lives Daemon Black. He’s hot until he opens his mouth. His sister says he’s just “Moody” but he’s arrogant and infuriating.
But when Katy is almost hit by a truck and Daemon freezes time with a wave of his hand she knows something is up. It turns out Daemon is from a planet called Lux and he is a Luxen which means he is a being of light. He also has a galaxy of enemies waiting to take his alien abilities. Daemon also has a sister named Dee who befriends katy in the beginning of the book. Since Daemon isn’t very nice to Katy, Dee takes his car keys and the only way Daemon can get them back is by being nice to Katy. So he takes her swimming and thats when it all starts. Overall I give Obsidian a 4.5 out of 5 stars! I can’t wait to continue with this series!

Fangirl Review

This review will be on the most relatable book I have ever read and that is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell!
Fangirl is about this girl named Cath and she is a fangirl. She writes fan fiction about this person named Simon Snow and he is the Harry Potter of that world.
Now she is in college and it’s not the time of her life. All she wants to do is write her fan-fic and is pretty much starving herself. But when Levi, her roommates “boyfriend” meets her, she is committed to stay in college.
This book has beautiful romance and amazing humor.
Overall I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars!
I loved the character development in this book because you can really see it and that’s one of the reasons why I love Rainbow Rowell so much because she can show character development pretty dang well.
I love you so much! Thanks and bye!

Four Review

Today’s review will be on Four by Veronica Roth! Remember the reviews are spoiler free! Four is about the background of a character in the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. His name is Four! In the Divergent world there are 5 factions, Amity the kind, Candor the honest, Erudite the intelligent, Dauntless the brave and Abnegation the selfless. Four comes from Abnegation.
Once you are sixteen you have to take a test and which determines what faction you are going to be in. After the test, the next day is the choosing ceremony. That’s when you choose what faction you will go into. Four takes his test and he gets Abnegation. But at the choosing ceremony he chooses to leave his family and he picks Dauntless. But Dauntless has a tough initiation. When you go into a faction you are called and Initiate.
This book doesn’t really have chapters, they’re more like sections. The first one is called The Transfer, the second is called The Initiate, the third is called The Son and the fourth is called The Traitor. There are also some exclusive scenes from Divergent!
Overall I Give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

Currently Reading... The Giver!

My first currently-reading!! WOOOOOOO!!!
So I am currently reading The Giver by Lois Lowry and so far it is really good! I have to say it is so influential and deep and I love books like that.
Jonas is such a cool character and I love the relationship between him and the Giver, because it reminds me so much of my relationship with my father. I can rely on him, trust him, ask him anything and he changes my life in so many ways.
This book is slow paced in the beginning but then it gets faster, so if you are the kind of person who likes to find things out when the main character does then this is the book for you!
When Maeve and I go to see the movie we will make a review and upload it, so stay tuned for that!
Overall I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars, only because I like fast paced books a bit better than slower ones but it’s still an amazing book and I hope the movie is just as good!
I love you all so much! Thanks! Bye!

Currently reading: Onyx

I am currently reading Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout! I just did a review on Obsidian so if you want to check that out just look in our previous reviews! As you can see I loved Obsidian! So far, I’m loving Onyx! Obsidian is what made Ella and I start book blogging so you can thank Jennifer L. Armentrout!
I relate a lot to both Dee and Katy (Obviously)! I love when you can relate to characters, you understand what they’re going through or you share a lot of the same interests. I absolutely love each and every one of these characters (besides the Arum and the DOD)!
I love how both Obsidian and Onyx are fast pace with a lot of action and romance. I have to say these books would make an amazing tv show!
So far I give Onyx 5 out 5 stars! I can’t wait to read the next books (Opal, Origin and Opposition)!

-Xoxo Maeve

Hexed Review

Hexed by Michelle Krys is about this girl named Indigo. She is just an average, snotty, popular, high school cheerleader, until her school football game.
When she finds out she is a witch from a mysterious man named Bishop, her whole life is in danger.
She finds out that her mom has a magic bible to end witch life as we know it… and some sorcerers are out to get it. She and Bishop are out to find and kill the sorcerers to make sure the bible stays in their hands.
I love how this book is so fast paced because you're all like "wOaH this just happened... WoAh this just happened....wOaOaOaH what just happened?" And that is a good thing! Michelle has such a cool plot line in this and it just amazes me how she could have thought of this! FANTASTIC job, Michelle! This book has the perfect amount of break-neck action, heart filling romance and heart wrenching drama. (My first witch book… Yay!!)
Overall my rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars!! Such an amazing book and I definitely recommend this to all readers. Indigo is one of my favorite heroines ever and I am so happy I read this book!
I love you all so much! Xoxo Bye!

These Broken Stars review

Today's review will be on These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner! (remember these reviews are spoiler free!)
These Broken Stars is about a girl named Lilac, whose father is richest man in the universe, and a boy named Tarver, who is a major in the army.
While flying on a ship called the Icarus, they crash land on a planet. At first Lilac is one of those snooty, typical rich kids and Tarver is just like every other guy. But as the book goes on you start to learn more about both Lilac and Tarver’s characters. Since they only have each other to rely on, their chemistry grows throughout the book.
But strange things keep happening. Tarver leaves his old canteen by a rock and they go to build another camp. While Tarver is unpacking his stuff, he pulls out the same canteen as good as new. Lilac keeps hearing voices in the woods. Does the canteen have anything to do with the voices? Well you’ll have to find out!Overall I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars! The second book, This Shattered World, comes out December 23, 2014!-Xoxo Maeve

Alienated Review

Alienated by Melissa Landers is about this girl named Cara and this alien named Aelyx. Aelyx is an intergalactic foreign exchange student from the Planet L’eihr. I know right, awesome exchange program, anyone?
While Aelyx is there, things get sort of messy. He was sent to plant these seeds that do some crazy things. But while he stays with Cara they start to fall in love and he starts to regret his gardening ideas ;). There is also another problem which is HALO, an act against the aliens. Cara’s old boyfriend’s friend is part of HALO and is out to get Aelyx and Cara.
Overall I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. This book is such an amazing story and I was just so entertained. AMAZING job Melissa!!
This book is in both Aelyx’s and Cara’s POV so don’t worry, guys will love it too! And if you aren’t a fan of aliens then there is also an amazing romance in this story, too!
Just a little fun fact about me and Maeve, we are such sci-fi freaks/nerds so a lot of these are going to be sci-fi books!!!
I love you all so, so much!
-Ella

The 5th Wave Review

Just so you know, these are going to be spoiler free!!!
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey is about this girl named Cassie Sullivan and the world is invaded by aliens! And they aren’t like Daemon Black kinda aliens, they are like full on, evil aliens that want to take over the world! And in this world, the aliens create “waves”: first wave, “Lights Out” second wave “Surfs Up” third wave “Pestilence” fourth wave “Silencer” and the fifth wave is yet to be determined. Then she meets the swoon-worthy Evan Walker and once she meets him, the big question is, “Is he an alien or isn’t he?” But the biggest plot line in this story, is trying to save her little brother, Sammy.
This book is in three perspectives. The first, to start off, is Cassie’s, then Sammy’s, then Ben Parish’s (Cassie’s crush before the invasion).
The plot in Ben’s POV is that, while he is at Wright Patterson, he figures out that they are forming an army out of children against the people (you will have to figure out why ;) and he has to stop it.
There is no real plot in Sammy’s POV because he was taken to Wright Patterson as well and he stays with Ben.
Overall I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars! This was such an amazing read with a great amount of action and romance. I loved this story and how it was put together it was so amazing and fantastic and it is definitely one of my favorite reads of 2014! Amazing job, Rick!!
The next book, The Infinite Sea, comes out on September 16th, 2014.
There is also going to be a movie, casting Chloe Mortez as Cassie, Alex Roe as Evan and Nick Robinson as Ben! So excited, fangirling so hard right now!!!! AHHHHHH!!
I love you all so much! Bye!
